CLEVELAND: Man shot during robbery on West 47th and Clark Ave

Second District Cleveland Detectives are currently investigating a shooting which occurred on March 21, at about 5:30 p.m. near W. 47th Street and Clark Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to MetroHealth Medical Center in connection with a male shot.

The victim, who had been shot in the arm and thigh, was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Detectives say that two male suspects tried to robbed the victim of his wallet.

During the struggle one of the suspects began to fire his weapon.

After the victim was wounded, the victim and the suspects fled in different directions.

Officers were unable to locate the suspects responsible for the felonious assault.

Second district detectives are conducting the on-going investigation.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
