Southern Union shooter found guilty of murder, attempted murder

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) -

The verdict is in the trial for accused the Southern Union shooter.

Thomas May has been found guilty of murder and attempted murder. The jury only took a little more than two hours to reach their decision.

May was accused of killing his former mother-in-law on a college campus in 2011.

A hearing is scheduled to consider the death penalty in the case.
