MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A criminal investigation is underway at the scene of a structure fire in Montgomery in which one person was found to be injured. Montgomery police say a burglary possibly occurred before the fire.

Lt. K.O. Jones with the Montgomery Fire Department says firefighters responded to a possible fire around 12:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Blackshear Drive near Airbase Boulevard.

The fire happened at the Data Bank Business Services building, according to Montgomery Director of Public Safety Chris Murphy.

When crews arrived on the scene they found an outside storage shed with smoke and reported the structure was "well involved with fire".

A victim, identified only as an approximately 60-year-old white male, was found. Jones says the man had a 2 and a half inch laceration to the right side of his neck but was conscious.

The man was taken in stable condition to a Montgomery hospital for further treatment.
