Suspect in Chickahominy River crash now faces murder charges

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

The man accused of killing two sisters after crashing intothe Chickahominy River now faces more charges.

Prosecutors have now charged Andrew Walters with two countsof felony murder, two counts of involuntary manslaughter and felony eludingpolice.

16-year-old Amanda Irby and her sister Jessica Gallmeyerwere killed in February. Walters was driving the car. Police say he triedto take off before crashing.

Prosecutors say Walters can be charged with felony murderbecause he was committing another crime when the victims were killed. He's back in court on Thursday.
