TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Dozens of Toledo residents have paid to repair flat tires and bent rims because of pot holes in the Glass City. Now, one woman says she lost her whole car thanks to a pothole.

No, the car was not totaled or somehow swallowed up by the whole; it was stolen.

"I ran over a pothole and when I went to go check to make sure my tire and stuff was ok that's when some guys, well one came up from behind put his hands on my back and asked for my vehicle," said Ebony Lee.

Lee says she was shocked and terrified.

"You never think it's going to happen to you, but I guess it does at some time," said Lee. "It's very scary because at that moment all I thought about was my kids and my grandbabies and if I was going to live to see them."

Lee says she was not sure if the man had a weapon, and decided not to take the chance.

"At that moment I kind of wanted to fight for my car but then I'm like no because people die for a lot of little things and I don't want to be that person who died for a vehicle," said Lee.

Lee says the man hopped in the driver's seat and took off with her car.

This was not Lee's first run-in with a Toledo pothole. She says she had to pay to have another vehicle repaired after hitting on last month.

Now, she just hopes Toledo Police can find the man who stole her car.

"I definitely want to get him off the streets so nobody else has to be a victim," said Lee.
