#Hashtaglunchbag: Miss Ebony Columbus Edition

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Miss Ebony Columbus Scholarship Pageant, participated in #hashtaglunchbag Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m.

Young Ladies ages (4-17) who are registered participants of the Miss Ebony Columbus Scholarship pageant volunteered their time to feed the homeless in the Columbus area. They packed and distributed lunches from 10 a.m. to noon.

Donations can be made at www.studioinc.net.

Hashtag Lunch Bag is a nonprofit started in California, and the concept is real easy. The formula is to gather donations, purchase items to make sandwiches, rally volunteers to assemble the lunch bags, write a note of well wishes then distribute the bags to individuals in the community living on the street. This scholarship pageant requires it's participants to have at least 20 hours of community service, making sure the young ladies understand the value of giving back.

The pageant will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in University Hall on CSU campus.

Special Guests at the pageant include Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, Miss Columbus Willietta Grant, Miss Tri-City Latino Tanamai Ramos, and Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader Tiffany Moore.

Sponsors include The NAACP CSU Chapter, The Wright Legal Group, LLC., MzB's Studio Inc. and The NB Agency.
