SMITHS STATION, AL (WTVM) -

On April 4, 2014, at approximately 4:16 PM/CST, Lee County Sheriff's Investigators arrested Absalom Edmond Shreves, 54, Felicia Ann Shreves, 41, and Gary Scott Flenard, Jr., 32, all of Smith Station, AL after an active clandestine methamphetamine lab was located in their home located in the 200 block of Lee Road 598 Smith Station, AL.  They have each been charged with Unlawful Manufacturing in the Second Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The suspects were arrested after Sheriff's Investigators attempted to execute an outstanding Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance arrest warrant that had been issued against Felicia Ann Shreves.

After arriving at the residence located in Smiths Station, Sheriff's Investigators located an active clandestine methamphetamine lab inside the residence.  A search of the residence revealed marijuana, plastic containers, lithium strips, cold tablets, and other items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamines.

Absalom and his wife, Felicia Shreves were both present and arrested on drug charges relating to the officers discovery of the clandestine lab.  Gary Flenard, a temporary resident of the home, was arrested after evidence also linked him to the methamphetamine lab found.

Robert Leo Mims Jr. was arrested for an outstanding FTA warrant for Criminal Trespassing in the Third Degree.  Brandon Wayne Hickman was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana in the Second Degree after a small amount of marijuana was found on him.

Flenard, Mims, and both the Shreves are currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facility.  Hickman has been released after posting a $1000.00 bond.  Flenard was recently released on bond from the Russell County Jail on drug related charges and was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of this arrest.

Absalom Shreves is on parole through the Russell County Courts System for previous drug related convictions.

These cases are still under investigation and additional charges might be issued. If you have any information about these cases or any other cases please call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 1-334-749-5651 or Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-555-7847.
