Auburn 2012 murder trial postponed

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The trial for a man accused of killing three people at a party in Auburn in 2012 has been delayed.

Desmonte Leonard was originally scheduled to go to trial on April 14 in Opelika, but the date has been pushed back to June 3 at the request of the prosecution.

Leonard is charged with capital murder, attempted murder and assault.

He is accused of killing of Demario Pitts and former Auburn football players Ladarious Phillips and Ed Christian during a pool party on June 9, 2012.
