COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - John Roberson Jr., a man accused of killing his father ten years ago, pled not guilty to murder and theft by deception charges.
Roberson Jr. was in court Tuesday morning. The case was originally postponed because Roberson wanted to hire his own attorney.
The judge denied Roberson Jr. bond. The case is bound over to the Superior Court.
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley says the suspect's father, 79-year-old John Roberson, was shot three times in the head 10 years ago. His death was originally thought to be a suicide.
Roberson Jr. was arrested in the Philippines on an outstanding warrant of murder and theft by taking.
