COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Bright Horizons at TSYS Learning Center will host a special "Truck Day" event on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It will feature a wide range of trucks and vehicles for kids and adults of all ages to explore, including a fire truck, ambulance and large tractor. The public is invited to share in the fun at Truck Day!

The event will take place at the TSYS Riverfront Campus at One TSYS Way, Columbus.

In addition to exploring the vehicles, other activities will include a raffle, truck-themed craft activities, games and vendors. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. There is a $5 entrance fee to experience the vehicles only, and an $8 fee for an all-inclusive pass.  Children 10 and under are admitted free.

All of the proceeds will benefit the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, a nonprofit organization focused on brightening the lives of children and families in crisis. The Foundation's goal is to make the world a better place by creating comforting spaces for children in crisis to grow and play, strengthening families, supporting our communities, sharing knowledge, and encouraging others to help make a difference.

The TSYS Learning Center has partnered with Hope Harbour, a domestic violence shelter for women and children. Additional donations are welcome – checks can be made payable to Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.

"At Bright Horizons child care centers, we try to encourage children to help make the world a better place," said Toya Barnes, education coordinator at the TSYS Learning Center. "Truck Day will give your child a fun-filled day and make a difference in the lives of children in need at the same time."

Bright Horizons Family Solutions is the world's leading provider of employer-sponsored child care, early education and work/life solutions. The company operates child care and early education centers across the United States, Europe and Canada.

The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children was founded in 1999 to help forward the vision of Bright Horizons Family Solutions to brighten the lives of children, youth and families in crisis.
