PORT CLINTON, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The man who police say was responsible for the Port Clinton High School bomb threat and Mickey's Smoke Shop robbery has been arrested.

After further investigation, the Port Clinton Police Department says Alexander Fletcher, 24, was arrested and charged Wednesday with aggravated robbery after admitting his involvement with the incident on April 1. He stole $576 and a couple cartons of cigarettes from the convenience store along Perry Street.

It is believed the bomb threat to the Port Clinton school was a distraction to clear out police presence in the area of the store.

Fletcher is currently incarcerated in the Ottawa County Detention Facility pending arraignment.

Police say the investigation pertaining to the bomb threat will be presented to the Ottawa County grand jury next week.

Police are still investigating both cases to see if there were any other people involved.
