Georgia officials to honor FDR at commemorative ceremony Saturday

WARM SPRINGS, GA (WTVM) -

Roosevelt's Little White House State Historic Site will host a tribute to President Franklin D. Roosevelt on the sixty-ninth anniversary of his death. 

The annual Commemorative Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 12.  The event includes music from the Fort Benning Infantry Center Band and a U.S. Marine Color Guard. 

This year's keynote speaker will be Nina Roosevelt Gibson, granddaughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.  This historic site is offering free admission until noon.   

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern on Saturday.    

Roosevelt's Little White House is operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and is located at 401 Little White House Road in Warm Springs, Ga.
