CVCC ranked No. 1 in new NJCAA baseball poll

The Chattahoochee Valley Pirates are ranked No. 1 in the nation in the new NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings released on Tuesday.

The Pirates have won 15 of their last 16 games, including a 14-2 victory over Wallace-Selma on Tuesday. They have a 14-3 record in the ACCC, with 11 conference games remaining in the season.

    Hockey may be returning to Columbus in 2018. Fidel Jenkins, a real estate broker based New York City, is in final negotiations with the Southern Professional Hockey League to purchase rights to the Columbus franchise.
