DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Douglas County High School was evacuated Wednesday after a student possibly discharged pepper spray.

Around 10:20 a.m., during class change, students and teachers in the hallway of the Banks building complained of stinging sensation, primarily in the throat.

The two story building was evacuated. There were 250 students inside the building at the time.

Students were taken to the stadium. If they got cold, they were taken to the gym.

Officials said people who had the stinging sensations were OK shortly after they were outside.

Classes resumed by 11 a.m.

Officials are looking at video from school cameras to determine what happened.

Three juveniles have been charged with disruption of school in the incident.
