PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A three-story apartment complex sustained severe damage and two people were displaced after a fire on the second floor Thursday night.

Crew were called to the complex near 28th Avenue and Cactus Road about 10:15 p.m. and found heavy fire on the second floor, said Phoenix fire Capt. Ruben Saavedra.

Crews attacked the fire from all sides, including the roof, Saavedra said.

No injuries were reported and the fire department was working to find alternative shelter for the two who were displaced.

The cause had not been determined but the investigation was continuing, Saavedra said.
