UFC champion hosts motorcycle charity event in Chattahoochee Valley to benefit wounded soldiers

Posted: Updated:

Former UFC champion Randy Couture hosted the Xtreme Couture GI Poker Ride Saturday, April 19, at Chattahoochee Harley Davidson in Columbus, Ga.

The ride is a charity event to raise money and awareness for service members wounded in action, and their families.

Motorcyclists made their way around the Chattahoochee Valley, making stops in Warm Springs and Hamilton.

"It's a motorcycle paper run here in the Columbus area for my foundation which has been around for about seven years, Extreme Couture GI Foundation," says Randy Couture. "The proceeds from today's ride will go to my foundation it supports wounded soldiers."

Couture fought in the UFC for 14 years. He also served in the military for six years, and has worked on this foundation for more than seven years.

Organizers say 100 percent of the funds received from the event will go to the charity and are used exclusively for the needs of the wounded service members.
