LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The family of an 11-month old girl battling acute myeloid leukemia has learned her cancer is remission just days before she undergoes a bone marrow transplant.

Hadley Mercer's family got the news after she underwent her third round of chemotherapy.

Hadley's story and her need for a bone marrow transplant generated buzz across the country with hundreds of people turning out to be tested to find out if they were a match. Doctors found a 90 percent match and scheduled Hadley's transplant for Tuesday.

She turns one year old on May 8.
