COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

On May 20, voters in Columbus will head to the polls to cast their vote for mayor.

Mayoral candidate Colin Martin received some key endorsements on Tuesday, April 22. State Senator Josh McKoon, Muscogee County Sheriff John Darr, Muscogee County Marshal Greg Countryman, Superior Court Clerk Linda Pierce, and Columbus City Councilor Gary Allen all voiced their support for Martin.

"I'm excited to have the endorsements of these elected officials," says Martin. "These folks have won campaigns in this city. They know what it's like to win. They want to be supportive of me, and they also want a mayor they can work and collaborate with."

Martin is running against incumbent Mayor Teresa Tomlinson. Both candidates voiced their platforms last week on News Leader 9 Morning.
