COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic will stay in the Fountain City.
Dr. Howard Willis, Chairman of the Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic, says that the game will remain in Columbus for at least the next five years.
Last year, Dr. Willis said other cities, including Atlanta, approached him about moving the game. However, after negotiations between the City of Columbus, the Sports Council, Private Sector officials, and the Tuskegee-Morehouse Committee they have agreed to keep it in Columbus.
The next game will be played on Oct. 11, 2014 at McClung Stadium.
The first Tuskegee-Morehouse Football Classic was played in Columbus in 1936.
