OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) -

An Opelika man is arrested in connection with a shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

Opelika police arrested 26-year-old Farren Marshae Edwards on Friday, April 25, charging him with 2nd Degree Assault.

The charges stem from a shooting on Thursday evening, April 24, at Brook Haven Trailer Park in Opelika. Ala.

According to police, Edwards and the 34-year-old victim got into an altercation, when the suspect pulled out a pistol, and started shooting at the victim.

That victim was taken to the East Alabama Medical Center and has since been released.
