U.S. Marshals apprehended Reginald Jackson on April 14 from Riverside County, Calif. and extradited him to the Muscogee County Jail on an outstanding aggravated assault and murder warrant. Other charges Jackson face include possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Police say Jackson shot Travis Porter and fatally shot Dior Cheney on October 29, 2013. They also believe this was a drug deal gone wrong.

Attorney Stacey Jackson is representing Jackson and is questioning the fact that police have not recovered a gun.

The state says about 14 shell casings were found at the scene.

Jackson pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday, April 29. He is now  being held without bond.
