(WMC) - Preparing for a possible royal visit: That's the word from the Bluff City's police department and mayor.

British princes William and Harry are expected in Memphis this weekend for a good friend's wedding. Nothing is written in stone yet about the royal guests being in attendance for the wedding of their close friend, English club owner Guy Pelly, to Memphian Lizzy Wilson, who is the granddaughter of Holiday Inn Founder Kemmons Wilson Sr.

But inquiring minds definitely want to know.

What design and colors will there be? These are the questions Weddings by De' owner, De' Whitted, and stylist, Janel Goods, are asking with regard to the possibility of the royal brothers descending on the Bluff City.

"The buzz is who's the planner. We know where the location is. No one knows what the menu is. Who's doing the stationary," said Whitted.

These ladies are presuming some serious confidentiality clauses have been signed by every single person involved.

"Whoever they're hiring as their planner and as their team, they're doing a great job, like they are really staying closed lipped about it," said Whitted."

These wedding planners, who are a part of a private group of professional wedding planners, know with certainty that the cost of a production like this wedding in Memphis is a grand affair.

"At least $1.2 million at least," said Whitted.

No one knows for sure about the royal visit, not even Mayor A C Wharton.

"It has gained so much national currency that we're gonna work under the assumption that they are going to be in our great city, but again if you were to ask me is that a fact, I simply cannot say that," said Wharton.

Memphis police did confirm the Diplomatic Security Corps contacted them about a possible visit from the royal family.
