Opelika man charged with Auburn burglary

Police have arrested 20-year-old Tevin J. Stinson from Opelika, Ala. on felony warrants in connection with a report of burglary in Auburn, Ala.

A victim told officers that someone entered their residence in the 4800 block of Heath Rd. on March 6, 2014, while they were away, and stole a 42" television, various other electronic devices, and US currency with a total value of over $1,600, according to Auburn Police.

Stinson developed as a suspect during the course of an investigation by the Auburn Police Division. With the assistance of the Lee County Sheriff's Office, items matching the description of the stolen property were recovered at Stinson's residence.

Auburn Detectives obtained arrest warrants, and took Stinson into custody, charging him with Burglary Third Degree and Theft of Property.

Stinson was transported to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $6,000 bond.
