Bridges Academy renovated for RED Day

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Bridges Academy in Columbus is getting a makeover.

Some 60 Keller Williams Realty employees took time out their day to renovate the school by building a garden, a sensory room and other revitalization projects.

Bridges Academy is a school for autistic children-- helping them transition into public schools.

The company is calling it "RED" or "Give Back Day."

"Our objective is to give back to the community," said Skip Davidson with Keller Williams Realty. "We don't do it for publicity. We don't do it for anything else. If it's something we feel like there is a need in the community we get out and spend a full day with probably 80 to 90 percent of our staff members will be here working today giving back."

Close to 100,000 Keller Willaims associates across the globe are taking part in the sixth annual RED Day.

RED stands for renew, energize, and donate.
