Auburn Police have three teenagers in custody after a 19-year-old woman claimed she was robbed and sexually assaulted inside her home.
18-year-old Lakeith Black, a 15-year-old and a 16-year old were arrested on May 12 and charged with first degree burglary, first degree theft of property, first degree rape and first degree sodomy. The 15-year-old is also charged with receiving stolen property second degree.
The juveniles' names have not been released due to their age.
According to the victim, the three suspects forced their way into her home on May 12 at around 1 a.m. She says they then sexually assaulted her and stole over $7,700 worth of property, including her 2010 Kia Forte. Auburn Police recovered the vehicle after it was involved in a one-vehicle accident and abandoned. The other stolen property was recovered when the suspects were arrested.
Black and the 16-year-old were transported to the Lee County Jail and are eligible for a $155,000 bond. The 15-year-old is currently in the Lee County Youth Detention Center and awaits a detention and transfer hearing.
This is an ongoing investigation and an additional arrest is expected.
