VALLEY, AL (WTVM) -

The Lee County Sheriff's Office has arrested three suspected burglars.

Christopher Russell Nelson, 28, of Opelika, 18-year-old Januari Rhiannon Nelson of Valley, and 31-year-old Eric Steven Bledsoe of Auburn were arrested Tuesday May 13 for third degree burglary and second degree unlawful theft of property.

On Tuesday May 13, 2014 the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in reference to a burglary that had just occurred at a residence located in the 9000 block of Lee Road 379 Opelika, Ala.  One of the homeowners was able to provide responding deputies with a good description of the suspect vehicle.

A Lee County Sheriff's Deputy located a vehicle matching the description near the intersection of Lee Road 158 and Lee Road 379, Valley, Ala.  A search of the vehicle revealed property that had been reported stolen by the homeowners.

According to a member of the household who witnessed the burglary, the three suspects came onto their property and took scrap metal and items from their shed.

All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested on burglary related charges.   Christopher Nelson is currently being held on a $6,000 bond but the other two have been released.

If you have any information about this case or any other case, please contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 1-334-749-5651 or Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-522-7847.
