Major accident on I-85 closes lanes near mile marker 64

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) -

There has been a major accident on I-85 in Opelika between mile markers 64 and 66. 

For now one lane of the southbound traffic is closed between mile marker 64 and 66, and one lane on the northbound side is also closed.

The Opelika Police Department is asking motorist to avoid the area if at all possible.
