(WTVM) -

Georgia state law requires all voters in the state to show photo identification when voting.

Acceptable forms of photo identification are:

-Any valid state or federal government-issued photo ID
-Georgia driver's license
-Valid US passport
-Valid US military photo ID
-Valid tribal photo ID
-Any valid employee photo ID issued by a branch, department or agency of a local, state and federal government.

An expired Georgia driver's license can be used to vote regardless of the expiration date.

According to Elections Executive Director Nancy Boren, primary elections typically draw a low number of voters to the precincts compared to presidential elections. She expects voter turnout to be right at 25 percent.

Voters must be sure to arrive at their assigned polling center to vote. Polls are open until 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20.
