HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

A 21-year-old registered sex offender is behind bars, accused of kidnapping two minors who escaped his vehicle on Sunday.

According to 21-year-old Jeremy Marclay Flemings' arrest report, he was taken into custody on Sunday before 3 p.m. at an apartment complex on West Wigwam Avenue, near Interstate 15 in Las Vegas.

The report states that the two minors involved told officers that earlier in the day they went to the Walgreens drug store located at Arroyo Grande Boulevard at Warm Spring Road in Henderson.

The minors said that while they were there, they were approached by a black man in a silver Range Rover who asked them if they'd like to be in a movie. One of the kids said Flemings said it was a TV show with rapper Lil' Wayne.

The kids said Flemings also asked if they smoked weed, to which they replied no, the report stated.

The kids said they got into Flemings' vehicle, and Flemings then approached a woman in her 20s, who also got into the Range Rover.

The kids said it appeared, Flemings didn't know how to drive, and that he told them he didn't have a driver's license.

When the vehicle arrived at an apartment complex, the woman got out of the Range Rover before it came to a stop, and Flemings began chasing her on foot, the report stated.

The two kid seized on the opportunity and fled the vehicle, stopped for drinks at a nearby Pizza Deli and then called 911, the report stated.

When police interviewed Flemings, he provided a different version of events, saying he was approached by one of the minors about smoking marijuana, and they drove to an apartment complex to locate some.

Police said Flemings had previously been arrested in Louisiana and Washington. Records from Washington show he has five felony convictions, which include two for the attempted promotion of commercial sexual abuse of a minor. Other convictions involved drugs and burglary.

Flemings is a registered sex offender in Nevada. He was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on a felony charge of first-degree kidnapping.
