Shots fired inside two convenience stores robbed overnight

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Shots were fired inside a Circle K convenience store and Twins Food Mart that were robbed overnight, Columbus police say.

The robbery at the Twins Food Mart at 2107 Manchester Expressway occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The suspect fired one shot inside the store, but no one was injured. No description of the suspect was provided by police.

Then, at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday a Circle K on Manchester Expressway was robbed by a single suspect. Police say two to three were fired inside the store, but no one was injured. No description of the suspect was provided by police. It is unclear if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle.

Police say the same suspect may be responsible for both robberies. As of Wednesday morning, police had not received surveillance video from either of the locations.
