Brad Pitt attacked at 'Maleficent' premiere
One moment Brad Pitt was signing autographs, and the next taking an apparent blow to the face from a fan during the Hollywood premiere of the movie "Maleficent."
Witnesses saw the man from the fan area jump over a barrier onto the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre and rush at Pitt, touching him briefly before security guards wrestled him back across the barrier.
CNN reports the suspected attacker is 25-year-old Vitalii Sediuk, a serial troublemaker at celebrity events. He was led away in handcuffs and arrested on suspicion of battery, police said.
Pitt kept greeting fans and walked into the theater.
His longtime partner Angelina Jolie stars in "Maleficent," Disney's new live action spin on its animated classic "Sleeping Beauty."
Reading Rainbow making a comeback thanks to kickstarter
It looks like "Reading Rainbow," the PBS show that ran from 1983 to 2006, will be back for another generation.
In less than 12 hours, a Kickstarter campaign raised $1 million for a web version of the TV classic.
The crowdfunding campaign was created by LeVar Burton, the show's creator and host. He wants to revive Reading Rainbow by creating a web version for families at home, a classroom version for teachers and provide free access to it for schools in need.
It launched early Wednesday and was fueled by buzz on social media with #ReadingRainbow trending on Twitter and Facebook.
The pledge amount surpassed the $1 million mark shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

A man named "Andrew" recently walked into a Dallas Starbucks and ordered what appears to be the new world record for most expensive Starbucks drink ordered.
Consumerist reports the previous known record at $47.30 was beat by this Sexagintuple Vanilla Bean Mocha Frappuccino at $54.75.
It's 128 ounces and has 60 shots of espresso. Andrew told consumerist he drank a third of it and then put the rest away for later.
According to his twitter account, though, he says he's actually finished it.
