LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -

An Auburn man believed to be one of the suspects caught on tape stealing from a home has been arrested and charged with burglary and theft of property.

The surveillance video appeared on the Lee County Sheriff's Office Facebook page on May 21, revealing two individuals in the act of stealing from a home in the 1000 block of Patrick St. in Waverly, Ala. on Tuesday, May 20.

On May 22, the Sheriff's Office commented on the post, "Thanks everyone for watching and sharing our video! It is working so please keep sharing! We have one of the suspects identified!"

That suspect, 18-year-old Trevonta Jamal Guy, was arrested on May 26 by Auburn Police for an unrelated incident of Giving False Name to a Law Enforcement Officer, and four outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear/Pay. Later, officers determined that Guy was the suspect wanted for the Waverly home robbery. Guy was then arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

The victim in the case reported that the thieves stole two televisions, a Sony Playstation, a trail camera, golf clubs and a bag of tools. The total value of the stolen items is about $2,349.

Guy is currently being held on a $7,000 bond on charges of Burglary in the Third Degree and Theft of Property in the Second Degree.

Investigators are still working to identify the second suspect.

Anyone with information about this case, especially the identity of the second suspect captured on video, is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 1-334-749-5651 or Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-522-7847.
