Convicted felon accused of shots fired, reckless driving in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A convicted felon living in Columbus, Ga. has been arrested once again after allegedly firing a pistol at several victims and driving recklessly, according to police.

Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, Columbus police officers were dispatched to the area of 42nd St. and 7th Ave. in reference to shots fired.

At least three people were fired at with a pistol. No one was injured, and no property damage was reported.

Vincent Barnard King, 30, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Weapon during a Crime.

King was also charged with Driving Under the Influence, No Proof of Insurance, No State Drivers License, Open Container Alcoholic Beverage While Operating a Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and Driving Too Fast For Conditions.

King is currently being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in Recorder's Court on Monday, June 2.
