HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Police have arrested a woman following an apparent shootout.

It happened after 1 p.m. at a housing complex on Mason Court.

Police respond to a call of shots fired at the complex. When investigators arrived, they found three vehicles with bullet holes in them.

Investigators said it appeared two people shot at each over and then left the scene. One of the people involved was inside a vehicle at the time, which was left at the scene.

Residents of the complex said they are concerned about gunfire in their community. One neighbor said his primary worry is for the children who often play outside who could have been hit.

"A bullet ain't got no name," he said.

A woman who was assisting one of the people involved was arrested after police said she tried to hide a stolen handgun in her possession.

Keiara Walton was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence.

No injuries were reported. Police continue to investigate.
