ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A fight broke out at an Atlanta comedy club and a man is claiming it involved a well-known comedian.

According to a police report, officers were called to the Uptown Comedy Corner at 800 Marietta Street at about midnight Sunday.

LaVar Walker told police he was attacked by three black males there. He identified one of them as actor and comedian Mike Epps.

Walker said he had received a threatening phone call from Epps earlier about a joke he'd made at Epps' expense.

That evening at the club, he was told Epps wanted to speak to him outside. Walker said that when he went outside Epps punched him in the face.

Walker told police that Epps and the two other men slammed him into the red Ferrari Epps drove to the club and they kicked him in the stomach as he laid on the ground.

The men reportedly threw Walker's cellphone onto the roof of the club and crushed his prescription glasses.

According to Walker, after the brawl Epps drove off in the Ferrari and the other two suspects left in a white Yukon.

Walker had bruises and cuts to his face. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
