SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU/CNN) - A nationwide search is under way for a San Francisco man suspected of possessing explosive materials.
FBI officials made the announcement Sunday.
"The FBI is currently looking for a man by the name of Ryan Kelly Chamberlain, 42, of San Francisco resident of that location for possession of explosive material at his residence," said Peter Lee of the FBI.
On Saturday, agents searched Chamberlain's apartment during an hours-long warrant operation.
They are not saying what type of explosives were allegedly found inside.
According to authorities, Chamberlain was last seen driving a 2008 white Nissan Altima with Texas or California plates.
The FBI says he should be considered armed and dangerous.
