Ft. Benning takes part in joint training exercise

Posted: Updated:

Fort Benning will be one of three military sites taking part in a joint training exercise.

The exercise started Monday June 2 and will continue until June 13.

According to officials with Fort Bennning, about 800 soldiers will participate and will include service members from Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah and Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta.

Officials say helicopters and fixed wing aircraft will be used, along with training ammunition and other devices aimed at making the exercise as realistic as possible.
