Man struck with pistol during armed robbery

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus Police say a 32-year-old male victim was struck in the head with a pistol during an armed robbery inside his residence. It happened at around 12:30 a.m. on June 7.

The victim told officers that his house located on the 900 block of Lamore Street in Columbus was robbed by a man with a revolver. The victim told Columbus Police the suspect stole his wallet and debit and credit cards. According to the police report, shots were fired during the incident.

The victim received cuts on his head, and he was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene; however, he refused to go to the hospital to receive further treatment.
