COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A popular music festival will be moving locations this year.
Davis Broadcasting tells News Leader 9 the 28th annual Family Day Music Festival will now be held at the Civic Center.
This comes after the event got to be overcrowded at Cooper Creek Park.
A few of the advantages of the Civic Center are that restrooms will be available and patrons will be allowed to cool off in the air conditioning of the lobby if necessary.
You will also be able to tailgate, ice skate, and attend a car and bike show.
"It is actually going to be comfortable as far as parking is concerned," said Michael Soul with Davis Broadcasting Inc. "We have two musical stages and the ability to cool off at the Ice Rink with skating and then come inside to use the restrooms at the Civic Center it's just going to be a nice day."
Family Day is one of Columbus's biggest free summer music festivals. This year the event is on Saturday June 21.
