New hotel to host job fair Tuesday June 10

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A hotel under construction in Phenix City is looking for employees!

The Courtyard by Marriott is currently accepting applications and will be hosting a job fair tomorrow, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time.

The actual job fair will be at the Hampton Inn and Suites located at 620 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Phenix City.

The positions available include:

- Front Desk Clerk

- Front Desk Manager

- Night Auditor

- Executive Housekeeper

- Housekeeper

- Maintenance Engineer

- Chief Engineer

- Bistro Cook AM/PM

- Bistro Server AM/PM

- Steward/Dishwasher

- Laundry Attendant

- Houseman

 *Requirements: Preferably 1 to 3 years' experience depending on the job positions.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to: evening, weekends, and holidays. Candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and effective written and oral communication skills, also a working knowledge of computers and facsimile machines.

Candidates should have the ability to multi task and the ability to handle stressful situations, and must be flexible to work in various capacities, which include PBX, Concierge, and Front Desk.

Well-groomed/professional appearance and positive team attitude is required. Resumes and references are required, as well as drug testing and background checks.

    An inmate who escaped from the Troup County Jail has been taken into custody. Thomas Christopher Cuddington has been captured with the assistance of LaGrange Police Department.
