One of Mississippi's most wanted is behind bars after she was arrested in Lexington, MS, on Monday. Biloxi police Investigator Nick Sonnier said 47-year-old Mary Louise Smith, of Lexington, was wanted for burglarizing Coast casino hotel rooms.

Sonnier said a total of four warrants were issued for Smith for incidents that occurred in April and June.

Sonnier said Smith would wander the halls of casino hotels, pushing on doors to find which ones were not securely closed. According to officials, she would then sneak into the rooms, while the occupants were still sleeping, and steal property.

Sonnier said Smith was arrested by U.S. Marshals at her home in Lexington. Officials said Biloxi police retrieved Smith on Wednesday and brought her to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where she is being held on a $125,000 bond.
