Man robbed at gunpoint while sitting in front of his home

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

A Wilmington man was robbed at gunpoint by two men while he was sitting in front of his home Thursday morning.

Officers with the Wilmington Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 1300 block of Gleen Street around 5 a.m. Thursday.

According to the victim, he was sitting in a chair in front of his home when he was approached by two males wearing ski masks.

They pointed a gun at the victim and told him to "get on the ground, or we'll shoot you in the back." 

The two men stole cash, jewelry, and a cell phone then fled on foot. The victim wasn't injured.

Wilmington Police are investigating.
