Overhead Door hosts ribbon cutting ceremony

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A company is celebrating the opening of its doors in Columbus.

We were at the ribbon cutting for Overhead Door Company, which used to be a division of Harvey Lumber. The former employees were hired to work at this new location on 38th Street.

We spoke with Ed Gaffney, owner and president of Automated Doorways, on how this new move will affect the local economy.

"We believe in this neighborhood and we've brought jobs to this neighborhood, just around the corner is a new sheriff sub-station, a new restaurant's opened and an art gallery, and we're proud to be part of this and provide jobs in this area," Gaffney said.

Overhead Door is a residential and commercial overhead door company that specializes in service and repairs.
