COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

On June 19, 2014 at approximately 6 p.m. ,  a black male armed with a handgun walked into the US Title Pawn at 3290 Victory Drive and demanded all of the money from the business.

After getting the business' money he also robbed the clerk of her credit and debit cards.

The suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Shawn Thomas Sconiers, fled from the scene and was apprehended by Columbus Police Department Patrol Units.

All of the stolen items were recovered and it was discovered that the gun was actually a BB pistol.

Sconiers was charged with two counts of armed robbery and booked into the Muscogee County Jail.

His preliminary hearing will be in Recorder's Court on June 21 at 9 a.m.
