(WTVM) -

We want to send a big thank you to everyone who came out to WTVM's Give 9 Day of Service over the weekend!

It was a great way to have some fun and help out local charity the BigHouse Foundation of Opelika.

Volunteers were out busting suds at Headquarter Nissan for the family fun day which included a free car wash and a dunking booth. Among those hitting the water was Terry Bell of Headquarter Nissan and folks from WTVM.

We raised about $500 for the BigHouse Foundation which helps to meet the needs of foster children and their families in the area.

The BigHouse Foundation was our Give 9 first quarter winner which includes a day of service from WTVM and a $5,000 check.

"We bought a trailer with it so we're able to take some of our events on the road," said Big House founder Micah Melnick. "It's a huge asset for BigHouse to be able to bring our asset to other counties and other areas and serve kids there. So we love the Give 9 community and WTVM for putting it on, it's just awesome."

Now's your time to vote for a second quarter winner for Give 9. Our five finalists are the Autism Hope Center, Liberty Theater and Cultural Center, New Life Second Chance Outreach, Pedaling for Kids and the Warrior Outreach.

To vote for one of these five charities, text "Give 9" to 40909 and follow the prompts. Voting continues until midnight on June 30.
