ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Two Rowan County men were arrested after an undercover drug operation that lasted about four months.

On June 20, 28-year-old Justin Wade Ames was arrested and charged with one count each of possess with intent to sell and deliver oxymorphone and maintaining a residence for keeping and selling controlled substances.

The next day, deputies arrested 24-year-old Travis Dane Irick on 14 charges including selling heroin, trafficking heroin, and selling oxycodone.

Police say all 14 of Irick's charges come from five different incidents on five different days from March 5 through June 17.

One of those incidents, investigators said, involved both Irick and Ames.

Ames was placed under a $7,500 bond and Irick was placed under a $500,000 bond.
