CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

"We're sorry" - that's the response a Chesterfield family says they got after finding what appears to be a pacifier floating in a five-gallon jug of Primo bottled water.

They say they purchased the water jug from the Walmart at Parham and Brook Road.

"It's just gross," said Chesterfield mother Lakesha Johnson, who found the pacifier floating in the bottled water. "Where did the pacifier come from? Who had the pacifier in their mouth? Was it put their purposely? All these things are running through my head."

Lakesha Johnson's little 7-year-old could not believe it.

"I ran to the kitchen and I saw the pacifier floating up to the top," said Keasja Jackson. "I just felt disgusted."

The object can be pretty hard to spot.

"Pushing the button for water you don't see it," said Johnson. "You don't see it because it blends in with the water."

The family bought the five-gallon jug of water weeks ago. They didn't notice the floating objecting until the water got lower in the Primo Water tank.

"If you have been purchasing it, be sure to shake the bottle up. Flip it upside down," said Johnson. "Check it out!"

Johnson says Primo Water has offered the family two free jugs of water.

Primo Water released the following statement:

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding a recent consumer concern. The quality and safety of our products is of the utmost importance, and we take all consumer concerns seriously.  Today (June 26), we received a photo related to a consumer inquiry in Richmond, Virginia that will assist in our investigation of this matter."
