So now it's between Cleveland and Dallas for the Republican National Convention in 2016.

There's a new video put out by they governor's re-election campaign trying to secure the RNC for Cleveland. The governor appears to have a sense of humor every Browns fan will love.

"Here are a few fact to consider. Dallas' Tony Romo only has one more playoff win than Cleveland's John Manziel," quipped Governor Kasich.

More than NFL jabs, the governor has done quite a bit to get the RNC in his state. Back when Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland were being considered he lobbied and got the Jobs Ohio Group to pledge $10 million for the event, regardless of which city. That money will be in play whether it's the RNC or the Democratic National Convention.

"Captain America and the Avengers filmed in Cleveland, and Superman was created here. It's the home of super heroes," said Gov. Kasich.

Will it take a super power to beat out Dallas? We'll have to wait and see. The governor's office is telling me he's in constant contact with the group running the bid here in Cleveland. He's even had conversations with Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Governor Kasich said, "I don't know about you but the choice seems pretty clear to me. For the GOP Convention in 2016 I'm #TeamCleveland."
