Auburn's Jonathon Mincy accepted into pretrial diversion program

An Auburn football player who was arrested and charged with second degree possession of marijuana last month has been accepted into a pretrial diversion program.

Mincy was arrested June 27 in Henry County. According to the Henry County Sheriff, Mincy was a passenger in a vehicle going 92 mph in a 65 mph speed zone. Mincy was the only person in the vehicle arrested.

According to court documents, Mincy has also paid his fines in full. The charges will be dismissed upon completion of the pretrial diversion program.

Mincy is currently a defensive back for the Tigers. In the 2013 football season, he recorded 56 tackles.
