Lane closures scheduled for CSRA roads this week

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Lane closures are scheduled for several CSRA roads this week as crews work on construction projects and maintenance. 

The outside lane on I-520 west between mile markers 2.5 and 3.5 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. 

The outside lane on I-520 eastbound between mile markers 2.5 and 4.5 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. 

A single lane on each side of Deans Bridge Road between Kipling Road to Augusta Tech Drive will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A single lane on Wrightsboro Road from Jimmy Dyess Parkway to I-520 will be closed between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for storm drain installation. 

There will also be a traffic shift to the newly-constructed lanes on Wrightsboro Road from Jimmy Dyess Parkway to Flowing Wells Road on Thursday.

A single lane on Columbia Road at Crawford Creek Bridge in Columbia County will be closed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday for bridge work.

Motorists should also watch out for maintenance at the following locations between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday: 

 

  • mowing on State Route 4 (Deans Bridge Road) between mile markers 13 and 17
  • vegetation management on State Route 10 (Washington Road) between mile markers 17 and 18.31
  • roadway sign maintenance on State Route 56 (Mike Padgett Highway) between mile markers 0 and 14.73
  • roadway sign maintenance on State Route 28 (Furys Ferry Road) between mile markers 0 and 11.33
  • roadway sign maintenance on State Route 10 (Washington Road) between mile markers 0 and 18.31
  • bridge maintenance and repair on State Route 56 (Mike Padgett Highway) at mile marker 0
  • single lane closure for sealing minor cracks in the roadway on State Route 4 (Deans Bridge Road) between mile markers 0 and 3.5

 

Heavy equipment will be entering and exiting the roadway at some of these locations. Flagmen may be used for this work. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
